About the club

The Old Sergeants Mess  is a happy, vibrant and sociable club dedicated to the sport of shooting.

The club is Home Office Approved, so we can accept membership applications from people new to shooting sports, as well as those more seasoned shooters. We have over 250 members with more joining all the time.

A good shot is a safe shot

This website is still in progress as our old one disappeared when the company hosting it closed.  Please forgive any links or pages that don’t work as well as they should, but please let us know as we are working hard to get it all right and working well.

The Old Sergeants Mess Shooting Club (OSMSC) offers members, regular shooting

(at least 4 times a month). We also offer courses, a comfortable clubhouse atmosphere and good food.

What we offer

Membership of the Old Sergeants Mess is open to any individual of good standing who wishes to take part in the sport of shooting.

We have membership for Rifle and Shotgun Shooters, as well as those who prefer the challenge of the Sporting targets, so we believe that we have something to offer everyone.

We have a fabulous clubhouse, a wide range of events, trips abroad, firearms storage, good food, expert advice from long term members, access to advice and support and a log fire in the winter. In fact all the things that you should expect from a professional club, approved by the Home Office and based at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley, Surrey, UK.

  • Accomodation

    We have the best accommodation on the site. Beautifully appointed Mobile homes and huts available all year round – but you’d better book soon!

  • Special Occasion

    Stag do, special occasion? No problem. We can create a fun and safe day for you to enjoy. Good shooting and good food – what could be better?

  • Courses

    We cater for some of the informative and fulfilling courses in the UK – taught by the best there is. From safe shooting to re-loading, we can help.
